Sheer Exhaustion – Why?

This was how I felt yesterday after 14 miles, except it was at home and about 5 hours after the run. I haven’t felt this exhausted in forever, not since my first 7-8 mile run 18 months ago. I suppose the day I made history was actually the day I first laced up and stepped out for a run/jog/walk/waddle. But this hot humid day of July 30th was history of some sorts too. Half way Point

Half way point in the training for the Chicago Marathon. From the next week on, there will be no turning back. We move forward. One step at a time, one mile at a time.
