Ever since I became addicted discovered Pinterest, I’ve been pinning a.k.a bookmarking like crazy. I discovered this Whole Wheat Pasta with Chickpeas(!), Kale(…gulp…) and Crushed Red Peppers.
I wasn’t sure if this combination of Italian Pasta with Mediterranean Chickpeas would work.
You know what – just like the Romans and Mesopotamians had a good trade going on, this dish has something good going on!
I didn’t read the recipe right and thought it said red peppers (when it actually said crushed red peppers), but the red bell peppers add a bit of nice color to it. Also, I did not have capers(or even know what it was). But I loved the end result of what I made (Next time, I’m adding in more of the Kale).
