Would you do the London Marathon after patiently applying for their lottery year after year?
I’ve wanted to do the London Marathon ever since I thought about doing my first one. My dad lived near Kensington Gardens for a bit and he has always loved the city. I will definitely be entering the lottery for this race in a few years, when my kids are a little grown up to enjoy the city.

This is the second in a new series I’m writing ‘Dream Races and Destinations’. Most of these races are my bucket list races and I would love to hear about your dream races.

  • Hi Smitha! I followed your link from Another Mother Runner, where I enjoyed reading about your running journey.

I’ve gone from reassuring my husband that I would never run a marathon, to saying, “How about Edinburgh in 2014?” Currently, my money-is-no-object dream would be to run in Scotland, visit friends there, and then travel down to parts of England.

    • How awesome!! You should definitely plan on it. Edinburg sounds like a GREAT destination marathon! And its in May – the perfect time to enjoy a good vacation in the rest of the UK!
