Pinspiration Wedneday – I’m Making Myself

Pinspiration Wedneday – I’m Making Myself

I came across this collage that someone else had pinned. It looked like it was part of an ad-campaign, of what I don’t know. The pin itself didn’t lead to anyplace on the internet, so I have no idea about the context of the images. But it got me thinking – In all the 3 years that I have been running, this is the first year that I have not signed up for a race! While it has given me the…

We are in this together – Augusta 70.3

Everytime our conversation brings up the word “Augusta”, my husband just nods.  I am nervous, excited and a bit anxious about how the next 20 weeks will shape out.  This is one of the times when I am glad that my husband is more level headed and takes things cool, without majorly showing any reaction or wearing his heart on his sleeve. What are your goals,…

Speedwork Tuesday

Speedwork Tuesday

Speedwork makes me nervous. Especially one on a track with other people and a coach. The one that I attended yesterday with Coach Cawood of No Boundaries Multisport was no different. A whole bunch of fast fit people, a track, and a coach with a clipboard! We started out with a mile warmup (the others went 1.5 miles) and a whole lot of drills. High knees, Butt kicks, lunges with high knees, tin soldiers, touch your feet cross-toed, high knees…

#RunForBoston

#RunForBoston

Almost all running stores across the country had a Boston dedicated run on Monday, a week after the bombings. And in spite of all the monday craziness, I went to our local running store to take part in the solidarity run. It was honoring and humbling to be a part of this amazing community. We started the run in silence, but ended with noise, chatter and laughter, as we took back our streets from the cowards who attacked it.
