Upper Respiratory Infection

Upper Respiratory Infection

Not a pleasant thing to end up with 2 months away from one of the biggest days of my life. And school hasn’t even started yet!! I wasn’t feeling too good during the run last week (but boy am I relieved that the sucky run was mainly because I was on the verge of getting sick and not anything else!) and started a very very mild cold the next day. My body protests

My body protests

I woke up the day of the long run with a sore throat.I struggled a bit during the run, physically and a little mentally.Sunday, full blown head cold and body ache. Breakfast of 1/2 slice Almond Butter and 1/4 banana at 5:15am…

The Day I made History

The Day I made History

I suppose the day I made history was actually the day I first laced up and stepped out for a run/jog/walk/waddle. But this hot humid day of July 30th was history of some sorts too. The air was so thick that you could slice it. I woke up late and scrambled to make the run in time. My pre-run food was rebelling against me. I was pretty sure I didn’t hydrate as well I should’ve the day before. I wasn’t…
