I was recently sent the Koss Fit Series headphones (the FitBuds and the FitClips) to review as part of a FitFluential campaign. If you aren’t familiar with the Fit Series, Koss’ designers teamed up with Gold Medalist Dara Torres to create the world’s first headphones designed specifically for women, by women.

Given my history with active headphones, I was a bit skeptical. Both came with ear cushions of 3 different sizes and I was sure to find one that fit, but still … the cushions were silky smooth that I thought would never stay in my ears.

I first tried the FitBuds during a treadmill run (cold and rain are NOT my friends for outdoor running). Used to turning up the volume on my usual off-brand headphones, I had my ears nearly blasted out! The sound quality of the FitBuds were great. I had a bit of difficulty in the beginning trying to get them stay, but once I started sweating, the sweat actually helped hold the FitBuds in place! The FitClips were very lightweight and stayed on my ears with no difficulty at all.

And another selling point for me, albeight a bit vain – both the headphones come in 5 colors. I don’t know about you, but my day is definitely brightened by color; even if the color is in my ears.

Where can you get these headphones? Usually priced at $29.99, popular retailers Walmart, Sears, Best Buy, Walgreens and K-Mart are promoting the Fit Series at $19.99 this holiday season.
