Georgia Half Marathon – Course and Elevation

Hills , hills and more hills. A largely pretty course taking me through areas I had never been! More hills. The “biggest” hills (to me) was the one coming out of Piedmont Park, and the one(s) passing through Georgia Tech. The most deceptive hill is the one after Georgia Tech onto Marietta St (the last mile). I couldn’t see the hill, but my legs could feel it. March 21, 2010 – My first half marathon. Signed up in a fit without respect for the distance. Trained diligently, but hobbled crying across the finish line in 3:09:10 March 20, 2010 – My 5th half marathon. Signed up to see how far my mind and body had come. Trained hardcore and pulled 10-12mile weekend runs consistently.
