The Tale of the Trail

The Tale of the Trail

Went out for my first proper trail run with the husband on this windy, but nice fall day. It was great for the first 0.5miles, until I went down! I must’ve stepped on slick leaves and lost my footing.  And now have a badly swollen ankle. Not sure if icing is going to heal it for Saturday’s 9 miles. I’m just hoping that it gets better by next Thursday, in time for my Thanksgiving Half Marathon. Beautiful day at Sibley…

Rock n Roll Savannah Marathon

Rock n Roll Savannah Marathon

(He’s going to be totally mad at me for posting his pictures in public domain, but I’m just so proud of him!)   We drove down from Atlanta, and went straight to packet pickup. The traffic into the expo (which was on an island with just ONE road) was a mess! Good thing we left Atlanta at 9am and not at 12noon as we had originally planned!     Race Day! I can see where my…

A Matter of Faith

A Matter of Faith

In the weeks leading up to the marathon, along with yoga, I turned to the Gita and other Hindu works to calm my nerves. I had downloaded the text apps onto my iPhone. Then comes this tough time I’m having at Miles 8-12 in the Marathon when I’m partially struggling with the heat. I was posting on Facebook and getting tons of encouragement. One of those times, I fumbled with launching the Facebook app and instead launched one of my…
