Oh! The things I do for bling (or a TShirt!).   I very rarely sign up for 5k races without looking at the weather forecast. The logistics of the race takes more time than the running itself. The Atlanta Women’s 5k race had the allure of a really cute TShirt, in purple this year, and a necklace. It also was to be my first “race” race, where I planned to run it to the best of my ability and then…

All Things Pink

All Things Pink

This week was all things pink! Started off with the pink shirt I got from my group Marc. The picture doesn’t do justice to the pink of the T Spring wasn’t spring after all; with the need to cover up completely on a cold run. So out came pink compression socks. #4 Little Rock Marathon

#4 Little Rock Marathon

“If you want to win something, run the 100 meters. If you want to experience something, run a marathon.”  – Emil Zatopek, Gold medal in 5k, 10k and the Marathon at Helsinki Olympics I chose to run Little Rock Marathon for the promise of a huge medal. In spite of a chilly 22F start at 6am, I started nice and slow and my race strategy ‘Start Slow and Back Off’ (thanks to One More Mile) paid off. The race was…
