Christmas Eve Run aka My “Runniversary” Run

Christmas Eve Run aka My “Runniversary” Run

It is hard to imagine that it was only 7 short years ago that I took my first running steps. 7 years ago, I was nervous about it, I thought I was going to die while running and I hated it when I finished the run. I used to run alone with my eyes firmly on the ground and not looking up to anyone crossing, and I’d be dressed in all cotton T and baggy cotton capris, preferably black or grey. And now here I was, meeting up with people to run on the trails, dressed in festive holiday colors and chatting around with even more people at the Christmas Eve Run.

Tony (in green) of Peak Racing Team and Georgia Trailheads pulled together a good group to explore the trails.

After a good 5mile on the trails and then some on the flats run, we were greeted by the cookie exchange that Endurance House was hosting! Yumm!

Amongst others, it was great to chat with Shawna and Lizzie before the minions joined me for yet another run.

All in all, a great way to celebrate the 60+ F  weather we had and a great way for me to celebrate running for 7 years. We’ve definitely had our ups and downs, but like a good lasting relationship we’ve always found each other and I’m looking forward to years and years more together.
