My Charity Team for Boston Marathon

My Charity Team for Boston Marathon

Those who have followed my running (and sometimes triathlon) adventures know that I’ve been on a quest to complete the World Marathon Majors (Chicago, NYC, Boston, London, Berlin & Tokyo).

Boston was my biggest challenge. Since a Boston qualifying time was not happening at my sloth pace (please no judgement about how “anyone could run a BQ if only they really really wanted to”), my only option was a charity entry.

I AM SUPER EXCITED AND SUPER HONORED TO RUN BOSTON 2020 WITH THE DANA FARBER MARATHON CHALLENGE TEAM !!!!

I am running and fundraising for Shannon, who is looking after her boys from above.  I met the ever smiling Shannon as part of a ‘mommy group’ when we were both pregnant with our first babies 14 years ago.

I am running for Lori, who was the very first running person I knew 8 years ago as she greeted me with a friendly wave every Saturday morning at my usual running trails.

I am running for Fred, my kid’s friend’s dad who lost his fight just earlier this year.

I am running for Grace, Amazing Grace, who inspired thousands around the Atlanta area with her faith and spirit.

I am running for Melody, Krystle, Shaina, Cherie, Anna, Jocelyn, Katie, Mark, David, Kevin and many more who continue to fight cancer.

I am committed to raise $10k+ towards this and I know this will be harder than training, but I am excited to push myself beyond my comfort zone! And of course, at the chance to complete the Marathon Majors.
